Information we may receive

Depending on what you provide, Food Aid Project may receive your name, contact information, location, preferred contact method, volunteer or partnership interests, general community-service timing information, skills, interests, professional or community relationships, remote availability, outreach platforms, public profile or portfolio link, approximate audience size, audience description, content abilities, referral source, and consent preferences.

How the questionnaire works

The questionnaire may operate in either of two modes:

• Secure intake mode: when the Food Aid Project intake service is active, your completed questionnaire is transmitted to a Google Apps Script operated for Food Aid Project and stored in a restricted Google Sheet. The system may create an internal review task, assign routing categories, suggest possible remote opportunities, and send an acknowledgment email and reference number.
• Email fallback mode: if the secure intake service is unavailable, the website prepares a structured email addressed to info@foodaidproject.org. You review and send that email through your own email application.

The website does not use an unrelated commercial form processor, sell questionnaire data, or automatically approve any participant or service placement.

Google Workspace services

Food Aid Project may use Google Workspace services—including Apps Script, Sheets, Gmail, and Drive—to receive, store, organize, acknowledge, review, and export questionnaire information. Access to the private intake spreadsheet and related files is limited to authorized users with a program-related need.

How we use information

Food Aid Project may use submitted information to:

• respond to your inquiry and acknowledge receipt;
• evaluate possible remote volunteer, community-service, professional-service, outreach, social-media, influencer, ambassador, mentoring, referral, or partnership opportunities;
• match skills, interests, audiences, and relationships with real Food Aid Project needs;
• prioritize review when a stated deadline requires attention;
• conduct appropriate next-stage screening;
• maintain a relationship and follow up when a relevant opportunity becomes available; and
• send occasional mission or opportunity updates when you have requested them.

Automated routing, priority, or matching results support human review only. They do not accept or reject a person, determine legal suitability, approve hours, or create an assignment.

Community-service inquiries

Submitting information does not create a placement, approve hours, establish an attorney-client relationship, or guarantee acceptance by a court, probation office, community-service administrator, or other authority. Food Aid Project may request additional information later through a separately approved process if a potential placement advances to formal review.

Sharing

Food Aid Project does not sell questionnaire information. We may share information internally with people who need it to evaluate or supervise an opportunity. We may share limited information with an outside professional, partner, or supervising authority only when reasonably necessary, authorized, or required by law. Sensitive next-stage information should be handled separately from this initial questionnaire.

Retention and deletion

Food Aid Project may retain inquiry information while it remains useful for evaluating opportunities, maintaining the relationship, documenting communications, or meeting organizational obligations. You may request correction or deletion by emailing info@foodaidproject.org. Some information may need to be retained when required by law or necessary to document an active or completed placement.

Security limitations

Food Aid Project uses data minimization, restricted access, validation, rate limiting, and audit records for the first-stage intake system. No website or email system can be guaranteed completely secure. Ordinary email is not guaranteed confidential, which is why the questionnaire instructs you not to provide sensitive legal, medical, financial, identity, or confidential information.

Children and minors

The questionnaire asks whether the person is at least 18. A minor should not proceed with a volunteer or service arrangement without appropriate parent or guardian involvement and Food Aid Project review.

Your choices

You may decline to answer optional questions. You may ask Food Aid Project not to send general updates while still allowing follow-up about a specific inquiry. You may also request correction or deletion, subject to legitimate legal and recordkeeping requirements.
